PICA WACO YMF 1/5 Scale build help.
I have recently purchased a VIRGIN unbuild 1/5 Scale pica kit and am looking for any info on building tips and covering options. the engine i have slated is a Saito 1.25GK. i have other ideas i would like to run by others to see if their a viable possibility or not. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am refurbishing an old 1/5th scale Pica Waco and have lost the drawings. Does anyone know where the CG is on that kit?

RE: PICA WACO YMF 1/5 Scale build help.
Hi I just picked up a used Pica Waco1/5 scale I see in some old threads that it can be flown with a60 to 90 size engine. This thing is built like a house and weighs 13.5 lbs without an engine. I was hoping to fly it with aDLE 20 cc but wonder if it would need a 30cc. any ideas. I hope it doesn't fly like a house

RE: PICA WACO YMF 1/5 Scale build help.
I have an old 1/6 scale Pica Waco I'm restoring, and was told an OS 70 Surpass would fly it okay. I wonder as I asume it will be an 8 or 9 lb plane. I'm using Sig Koverall and paint so is that heavier than Utracote? I think it was planned for a ST 75 and I got a brand new one with the plane but can't not go with a 4 stroke for this plane.
Thanks,
Jim

I flew my 1/6 WACO with a 91 Surpass. It was covered in Super Coverite, and painted. I felt that the power was about right. I'm afraid that a 70 Surpass may be a little small for this airframe.

Depends on whether your driving/flying the family station wagon. or someone's Fararri.
I was real happy with mine and a 70 Surpass.

RE: PICA WACO YMF 1/5 Scale build help.
I have an older OS 120 four stroke on my 1/5 Pica Waco. All up weight is 13.25lbs. Flys about right. Good torque rolls and solid vertical. Nice combo. Regards, NM
