You actually got a Wen-Mac to run? Cox .049's would almost always start after a few flips but the Wen-Macs were another story for me. Before I got into R/C in 1968, I built a Baby Ringmaster, Flite Streak, Voodoo and a Little Toot bipe, all powered by my trusty Cox Baby Bee .049 I think I had as much or more fun with those little control lines as I do now with $2,000 open class sailplanes !
