Default G-Mark .30 Twin & OS Wankle

I acquired 2 motors. A G-Mark .30 Twin and an OS .30 Wankle. To the best of the widow's memory, they are at least 6-8 yrs. old. Both have never been mounted or popped-off. They are packed in the original box just like they were when they were purchased; the complete package. Both are mint condition!

I can't seem to track down any information on the G-Mark Twin. Does anyone know anything about this .30 Twin? What is it worth?
Here is some pics. All information and input will be greatly appreciated.

Not real sure about your G-Mark but the Wankel looks like the cooling ring is removeable which makes it the early version . I bought one when they first came out back in the mid 70's . Thought it ran quite well but had to remove rear cover every so often to drain out some oil , just didn't run right if you didn't . I THINK ? Broke the cooling ring on mine & that holds the muffler on , bought two new ones ,replaced bad one & just chucked out the other one a few months ago . DUMB! Hope this helps . MAX H.

these Wankels bring nice prices on e bay for those who apreciate them. they are somewhat strange &operate a bit different than piston types. you must use a starter, no hand flipping- just wont work. engine is something of a fuel hog , heavy for its size due to the type construction required for the combustion chamber ,it ehausts , intakes &power strokes simultaniously. it also accelerates INSTANTLY. lots of motors claim that or seem to. in this case its true . its throttle response is almost tubine-like.many who have run them really like them. rotor tip wear can be a problem but i believe they largely solved that.

I don't have any idea about the value of the G-Mark but have some experience with one. My dad had one in the mid-80's that we flew in a .40 sized sport plane. It was a beautiful engine that ran and idled well but seemed to put out about the same power as an average .25. It performed best with a wide bladed 9X5 that came from Graupner. I also seem to remember it as being pretty quiet.
Getting the plane off the ground was a chore, using up pretty much all of our 600' grass runway, but it flew fine if you managed your speed and altitude well.

Both will fetch $200+ as collectables. The G-mark is a nice engine, but no power. Don't run them. Sell them to a collector who will appreciate them, and treat yourself to some engines you really want with the proceeds.

I am looking at these little G mark 30 twins and am thinking of buying one
To fit in a 41†pitts s2a pilot kit. The recommended engine is 19-25. What will
The G mark fly well my pitts should weigh all up at 3.5lbs will it be enough power to fly like a sport plane. I have the chance of buying one but it looks a little grubby and not sure on the price I should pay.

I think the Wankel motors are still available new for $450 - see Tower Hobbies. The G-Mark .30 goes for about $200, if you can find them. Probably a bit more with the muffler

Power about the same as a .20 2 stroke. Cool as an engine, but more of a novelty than a runner. Worth the most if it is never run; most just want to put them on a shelf. It would look cool on a small biplane.

Oh, boy...I have one of those early Wankels, too. But...I need a muffler for this particular model.... Anyone out there with that muffler I might buy, steal, borrow ...or??
Frank
P.S. Mine's been run in a plane and ran well on a 10/3 prop.....and I loaned it to a friend, against my better judgement, and of course, he lost the moffler...said he never could find it.....sigh....
