Agreed. Seems to be worse when trying to view the last page of long threads like this one. Faster if you view the first page. Must be pretty inefficient code when it comes to multiple page threads, so if the server is loaded down, it really shows here.

Well guys. Was at our local flying club, (we meet every weekend to solve the worlds problems) and they were lining stuff up for next weeks community yard sale. In amongst some pics was a framed painting of a Waco 10 on final over a snow covered scene. Seems to be an enlarged reproduction cover from "Almost Home" from Nixon Galloway:

Very nice and already hung on my office wall above the desk.
ps. If you check the link you will have to zip up to the top to see the pic.

Dan,
I tried to get a thread going on the "problems on being slow" but no one except myself & Steve G. responded, was talking to Ibobi a(moderator from the West Coast)
but nobody else wanted to put their 2 cents in this was early in the month, so I don't know if he closed the thread or not

Guys, does this qualify me for this fine brotherhood? 1/4 scale, scratch built from a set of pica plans. Power is going to be an RCGF 60. In the covering stages right now. Lots of info was gathered from this thread during the build. Excellent resource.
One of the very very experienced guys at our club did the maiden on my Great Planes Waco yesterday. He was really very impressed with it. He has built three from kits and said mine flew better than any of his did. All went really well until landing. When he went to flare it, he found that he did not have enough elevator travel, so it hit down pretty hard (rolled out OK, but the hit was stout). It knocked the belly fairing off where it covers the landing gear (just epoxied on, and I should have removed the paint where it was glued because it just took the paint off of the gear where it was glued).
The bad news was that apparently the hit was hard enough that on one side of the fuselage the balsa crunched and now it needs repair. He told me to bring it over and leave it with him and "it will be magically repaired". This guy has been building airplanes from kits and plans for about 60 years, so I trust him. I would like to see how he approaches the repair though so I can learn too.... this won't be the last time a plane of mine will need repairs, I'm sure.
The plane was gorgeous though, both on the ground and in the air. He did some aerobatics with it, including several hammerhead turns (which he said the Waco airframe really loves). I was impressed at how real (scale) it looks up there in all its movements. Mine has an O.S. FS-120 4 stroke pumper on it, and it sounded as good as it looked. Next time she goes up, we'll do the buddy box thing.
BTW, I don't think I have a Brotherhood number.... may I have one please?

I may be exiting from RCU due to some suspensions. In over 13 years here, I have had no problems. All buys, sells good, although there have not been a great number of them. Now some unidentified person sends me a notice so that when I check My Market that I am suspended per email message sent. Never got one, and don't know why.Whatever the reason, this site is poorly managed and run. If this issue is not cleared up in a day or so, I am gone.
Don't get me wrong. The group members here are great and I have gotten lots of good information here. Really enjoy the posts. But I am just not going to put up with RCU bull****.
