Powerhouse
I have a set of plans for the 84in Powerhouse. I got them at Toledo a few years ago. I can't remember who they came from or how much I paid. Might be willing to sell or trade for them. They are new and unused (rolled). Let me know if you are interested.

I have a couple of Northrop plans. He still sells plans at local model A/C shows with both his name on them and that of Model Builder magazine.
Only problem with the couple I have is that the re-draws he does bear little 'semblance of the configuration of the originals. In a few instances the plans have "updated" information also, but it is not consistant. If you want an original looking A/C buy an original plan, but if you want a 'semblance by all means get a re-draw.

Balance Point for Sal Taibi's Powerhouse
I recently acquired a built 84" WS Sal Taibi Powerhouse plane in good condition. It had been fitted with an electric motor and I am planning to install an OS 48 FS engine. Need your thoughts on engine combination and balance point for sport flying.
Thanks in advance for your help.

A OS 48 4-stroke will fly it just great , balance it on the spar would be close. I always flew mine with about a 1/2 to 3/4" washout in wings. The original had beams built into the structure & the engine mounts were two maple short beams that bolted through the first ones & the engine mounted on a plywood plate that bolted down to the second ones , did I lose you yet? Have flown them with up to a 70 4-stroke. Good luck & enjoy . MAX H.

MaxH,
Thanks for the quick reply. You did not lose me on the motor mounting. My first RC plane was Jack Ports '56 Nats winner "High Q". I built it in '62 with MinX single channel receiver, Bonner escapement and break away motor mount plate.
