That Whimpy (an RCM plan/article ?) is really cool isn't it. Haven't heard that name mentioned in awhile. Curious: did yours come with burgers?

Hitec Man:

I will gladly pay you Tuesday for your Whimpy today. And if you could throw in an EK Logictrol 7 and OS 25RC it would be great.

Nice old design.

Peace

For those not familiar with the model, this is Whimpy from the January 1975 issue of RCM.

Hey, Ray. Nice photo...why is it we can look at these vintage planes and get a bit of a longing for the "old days" ?

Does anyone have the RCM article on the WHIMPY TOO by Roger Tennyson (plan 979)? I do not know the issue date. I would like to aquire a copy of the article or instructions and will pay copying cost and mailing. Or, does anyone know where I can obtain the article now that RCM no longer exists? Thanks and happy building! Joe

sqeakalong,

Just PM me your email address and I will send you a pdf copy of the Wimpy article.

Ray

Oops!! Just noticed it's the Whimpy TOO your after. This was published in the November 1986 issue of RCM. I don't have that one i'm afraid - far too recent!

Hi, RFJ. Thanks for letting me know the published date on the Whimpy Too! I didn't realize it was a mid eighties design.

You can go to the RCM webpage and download several construction articles. Just got to the site and press the link for "requested articles". From there press the link "CONSTRUCTION" and then log in with the username and password provided.

Here is the link for the original article on the Whimpy:

http://www.rcmmagazine.com/issues/re...011975-1-1.pdf

There are tons more to choose from. I spent a great deal of time there,

Happy to be of service.

A few of my clubmates are building Whimpy's as we speak. Our club treasurer took the plans from the Whimpy he flew for about 12 years and had them enlarged to a 9 ft. wingspan! The fuse and empennage are complete and he is about to start on the wings. Our club secretary is also planning on building one as well.

I wanted to see what else was out there. I couldn't find the Whimpy article. I must be navigating the wrong way.

Hello,

I realize that this is a long shot, but do you plans for the Whimpy? I would gladly pay you for set.

Thanks!
