HOBBY HELPERS FLEET BIPLANE
I am building this model from the HH plans and was wondering if anyone can tell me how old it is, and whether it is considered vintage/antique?
It looks a nice model, and I was curious about this.
Am building per plan apart from reducing dihedral to scale, and will use bolt on wings and permanently installed tail in lieu of the rubber bands found everywhere on this model.

Hi EF;
How Strange!! I was just reading an old AAM magazine, June '60 issue, and made myself a copy of Bill Neukam's Fleet Bipe design featured in that issue. The HH plan # is 660. is that the same plan that you have. A few months ago I eBayed a set of plans for this Fleet Bipe, and finally found the Mag to go with it; so if were talking the same bipe, she's 48 years old, [model design that is]. Hope I was of help, best regards from Phoenix,
Joe Nagy.

Hi Joe
Yes! same plan #660 indeed. That's what I'm building (and enjoying very much)
I got my plans from Uncle Willie:

[The span BTW is 62" and not 72" as indicated by mistake (fuselage length is correct)]

As I remember, Hobby Helpers was till going into the early 1970's but essentially advertised no new plans after American Moldeler settled.
They got bought and sold another two times after the early 1970's, and then the original plan service end was sold off to another small time vendor.
