Help/ideas converting old world radio to new guts
I have my original Airplane, engine and radio from 1972. The radio is a World 5 channel, single stick with the rudder on a knob on the top of the stick. Although I fly the plane from time to time with a new Futaba radio I have not flown this old radio since about 1984. I have always thought about trying to install a new radio pc board into the case of the old World radio. The biggest problem would be to make sure the potentiometers on the sticks were the same as the new radio. Essentially, that is all that would be used from the old radio.
Does anyone here know of somebody that could do this? Is this a crazy idea?

Look at these sites if you are serious about new guts that will rival the latest Futaba. Mine is almost finished, using the Proline single stick box and pots.
