Default Great Planes T-Craft wing saddle

I'm currently working on my second GP T-Craft. My first is in the repair stage due to a rx switch failure. In the crash, the only damage was to the wing saddle area. I noticed that the T Craft does not have any plywood doublers like in the old GP Decathlon kit. Any suggestions as to how I can brace both planes so there will not be any more failures in the wing saddle??

Under normal loads, the Great Planes Taylorcraft doesn't need more than doublers provided in kit. Crash damage isn't considered a structural "failure" by Great Planes. You could fabricate the doublers out of ply, if you wished. Just be careful of the all-up weight of the model.

We haven't used CF much. It would really be overkill on that model.
