Great Planes Shoestring Racer Colour mix
Recently purchaced a Shoestring in Australia and was dissapointed with the colour mix of the supplied parts. cowl, wheel pants, canopy, landing gear, all different colour yellows, after building many and varied ARF's over the past few years this is the first with such a bad colour mismatch.
My e.mail was answered with an electronic reply!. "nothing worse" [why cant overseas customers receive a normal courtious human reply like US customers] then a reply saying I may receive a refund in the future if I return the kit !. My question still, is this normal for this ARF, have products from Phoenix, World Models, ESM etc, all with near perfect colour matched parts. I guess its fustration re this issue as the kit was expensive and a much anticapiced project.
Cheers Greg

First, the automated reply goes out to EVERY email sender. Amazingly, it does answer about 85%-90% of users' questions.
As far a color match is concerned, some mismatch is going to happen. The different parts are made by different manufacturers, and there's going to be some color variation from production lot to production lot. Exact matching is virtually impossible to guarantee.
