Making a !:35 Revell Bell 47 Helicopter into Rc

I had two model Revell_47 H-13H helicopters kits, in a closet for around 5 years. I thought that it would be fun to make this model into RC control.. This had been done a few years back,so this woud be nothing new. The only thing different would be installing a new Blade Revolution 90 FP.
This new model has the new safe and auto drift control features.I did not take early pictures as I should have, because I did not know if this project would work, But It did,to my surprise! Anyway here are a few pictures half way thru the build. I will post more pictures later.

Since I had two kits to work with,The figures from the kits were painted and glued in place on the control floor. To keep the weight down, ,the two pilots were ground out in there back sides, the figures along with the floor plate would now fit over the front of the frame of the circuit board. The figures really adds to the detail to the.l helicopter.. More later,

That is really cool!
I was thinking it would be neat if I could somehow convert my Blade 230S into my favorite helo of all time - the OH-6 Cayuse. First obstacle to overcome would be that pesky tail rotor motor being right where the angled tail stab would come out, and on the wrong side, to boot. More of a challenge than I would want to tackle. Since I never do anything more than fly "scale" with my helo (no 3D), adding some weight and losing some flying functionality wouldn't necessarily be deal-breakers on that, so maybe I should just turn it into some other helo, instead.

The OH-6A is one of my favorites helicopters also. What scale of the OH-6 Cavuse model kit would you use to put the Blade 230 in? Revell makes a nice 1:32 scale model kit. As far as the tail rotor, could a small plastic housing could be made to mount on the left side of the tail, and then just reverse the motor wiring so it would run in the correct direction? Thanks for the nice words on my Bell 47 Helicopter. I also like flying the scale models helicopters, because they are more real looking.. I noticed the Blade 90 handles a lot better with the Bell 47 body put on it.The added weight makes it fly more smooth.

I finally got more pictures of the finished bell 47 helicopter. I had to order a new chip for my camera for taking more pictures from Ebay last week. Like I said the blade 90 works great in the 47 frame, It seems to have plenty of power! The battery also fits under the frame for around 5 minute flights. A small 3volt disk battery lights up the front search light,. A slider switch turns the power off and on..I painted the model like the old TV show Whirlybirds, when I was a kid.I was a big fan of this show..I chose Tamiya Chrome yellow. Here are a few more pictures, hope you enjoy them !
