Does anyone find that the landing skids on the EZ breaks if you just look at them too hard? ....

Mine came crashing down from about head high two times due to a faulty ESC in the cold weather here in NY, but haven't broken yet. New ESC is supposed to be on the way to me now, but my skids haven't broken yet. I wonder if one were to boil them in water for about 5 min and let them cool off slowly in the water, if that'd help? It helped a lot on the plastic parts on my GP Flatouts, as well as my RC cars from days gone by. I wonder if it'd help these skids?
