one last thing why would you go to the triton 2 charger? from what i see it only does one battery at a time and also has no wall power supply.

The charger should work fine, but I not sure about the Blinky balancer. Can it be used to charge the battery as well or just check and discharge the cells.
You may also want to check around for better pricing on the TP Li-Po's.
You may find some useful info [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_5266894/tm.htm]here[/link] if you haven't looked already. There is also some good info on the Batteries and Chargers forum.

Another option is the Triton 2

and the Equinox balancer.

I've been running this combination for a year and it works really great. Nice thing about the Triton is that it shows how much current you put into your battery when it finishes charging.
You might also check out the MegaPower 1350mah LiPos from HeliDirect. They work great in the Axe.

I have a "Blinky" balancer and it works very well. Can be used before charging, after charging, and during charging. To use during charging you must charge using the discharge leads(Dean's connector). To use "Blinky" with Thunder Power packs you must use an adapter (Astroflight part# 549). Adapter cost $4.50 from Astroflight. "Blinky" will alert you if any cells are too low in voltage so you can take corrective action so as to minamize damage to your pack. "Blinky" is not a fancy device but for 25 bucks it is not bad.

That means you'd have to charge the battery conventionally and the Blinky would then bleed off current to keep the cells balanced. Sounds counterproductive to me, but if it works for ya who am I to argue.

Yes, bleeds of cells so they do not go over 4.25 volts per cell. This is low cost system. If you want better system the I would go with Thunder Power TP-1010C charger and TP-210V balancer and that would do the job for most any LiPo batteries. Thunder Power setup only cost $300.00. Lots of charger options out there. Blinky was asked about and I gave info.
