Default Is this correct?

I just finished installing a GY240 and Evo20 ESC, but this has me somewhat confused. Does the brown wire from the ESC go the black wire of the gyro? I don't want to cook thing.

That should be correct-- in the JR color scheme the orange wire corresponds to the white Futaba one. You shouldn't damage anything if it's backwards, but the ESC manual should have the wire mapping in it to double check.

Thanks guys.

Another question if I may...

To the best of my knowledge everything is wired properly but when I connect the battery and try to arm the tail motor ESC I get no 'Beeps'. Is it possible that a low battery condition would cause this?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If I remember right the rudder channel should be reversed and the arming was full left rudder then full right rudder.

I'm following the instructions given here: http://manuals.hobbico.com/hmx/hmxe04-gyro-manual.pdf

There is no audible signal after I turn it on. []

Correction arming is full left then full right then full left again This is for the evo 20 not the one in the manuel.

The esc in the manuel is different from the evo it has no beeps just a led.

What is the radio you are using?

I do not see a light on the ESC when I connect the battery, I do however see a red light flash when I unplug the battery.

Using the (I was told it's compatable) stock radio.

That is the light that blips on disconnect and I it only comes on when the battery is near dead.

Try this disconnect the gyro and hook the esc direct to the reciever and see if it will arm, left right left.

OK.. I unplugged everything then reconnected everything and, while there is still no audible tone while arming, everything appears to now be working as it should.

As soon as my new LiPo charger gets here I'll report back with the results.

Thanks for the, rollingball.
