Hey everyone! It has been a while since I have had time to hit the forum. How is everyone? Anyway, I am thinking about geting a nitro heli now. I am thinking about a thunder tiger raptor or kinetic 50. I am impressed with heli-max quality, so I am thinking about the kinetic 50. Anyone here have the kinetic 50? I would like to hear all of the good and bd things about it.

I do like the design of the T-Rex. I'm a little partial with Heli-Max. They have good support; I have even recieved replacement parts at no charge from that company.

I have heard a lot about the T-Rex. Why does everyone like it? As well as the Hirobo? Out of your suggestions, which one has a more stable flight? Non 3D flight?

Remember which TRex you're talking about. The TRex 450 has been the one to beat in the electric 450 class-- the 600 is a relative newcomer. In the .30-.50 range, the Raptor/Titan is the king of the hill, and the TRex is the newbie.
The TR450 was the value leader in the 450 range, with good prices and a reputation for quality, but their prices are about average these days. I personally don't see that their quality is great enough to warrant buying a TR reflexively without considering alternatives.

Thanks all. I decided to get the Kinetic for right now. I almost decided on the raptor, but tower hobbies takes care of their customers (not saying the others don't) and have nothing but good experiences with them. We will see what happens. As long as it is a solid and stable heli, I will be happy.
I will let you all know how it goes. It should be here on Wednesday. I need to go find a bigger field to fly in
I am still resisting AMA.

I hope it goes well for you. My experience with Tower has been the same as yours-- head and shoulders above the rest. No idea about the Kinetic, tho.
AMA member, btw

hehe, the reason why I resist AMA is because the members in my area are for the most part a-holes. I like to keep my time off nice and stress free. They have given me a very very bad impression about AMA. However there is a sweet county run air field (AMA) here in San Jose. I hear the people there are solid, so I might check it out. If I get a good impression from them, I will snag a membership.
I just like to fly and people leave me the heck alone and let me so my own thing

Understand. There are all different kinds of people in as well as out of AMA. The club places a lot of emphasis on being inclusive and welcoming to new members (whether new to R/C or just new to AMA), but some times it doesn't come across as well as at others.
Took a look at the aerials of the field-- if it's the same one you're talking about, I'd join just to be able to fly there! Here's their Web site: http://www.sccmas.org/

Yup, thats the field. I have always driven past it thinking it was a private park. It wasn't until recently that I discovered it was actually a county park. All I have to do is grab a AMA membership and do a check ride (make sure I can takeoff and land). The best part is that it is open all day, everyday. None of this, every other sunday except on holidays when its open every other tuesday only if its a leap year -- type scedule.
