i would like to go brushless and run my axe in separations.
I am not sure what i need and my LHS is not interested in helping me "MODIFY" my heli. i find it odd that a hobby shop would not want their custmers to upgrade their birds!! BUt, they are mostly fixed wing orientated.
what do i need to accomplish my goal???
can i use the stock tx??
also if i wanted to upgrade my servos what is a good replacement?????
sorry for all the nooby questions.....ive searched and searched and asked the shop and i have yet to get a straight foward answer.
thanks for any help.

I recall seeing a few posts about folks tearing out their 3-n-1 and going separates. You may be able to find somethng by going back a page or two back out in the helimax thread.
As for the local hobby shop, if they're mostly fixed wing flyers there, then I agree with their not wanting to modify your heli. If they were to perform any mods on your heli and something goes wrong, not only do they have to fix/replace the heli, but they also assume a huge legal responsibility in the event of property damage, injury or death. I'm sure if they could help they would, but they have to look out for themselves at the same time.
As for servo upgrades, I'm flying stock, but those folks who've upgraded, swear by the HS55 servo.

There's a link to one of the threads where they talk about going separate.
Maybe if you PM'd one of the guys from this thread they could help you out.
