Default axe cp motor

Hey everyone one just looking to get some info on the Axe cp motor. Was flying my heli the other day, notice I said WAS, until i crashed. Not a bad crash, broke a blade grip and that was it, but a crash none the less. Had to wait a week or so before i had time to make it to the LHS, but once I got the part put it back together and to my astonishment the heli would not take off. Tried everything, flipping the blade grips, balancing everythng, I even disassembled the entire heli and rebuilt it, spinning the heli up after every new part was installed to make sure everything was ok. Now I replaced every part in the heli from the main gear all the way to the button on the head. And to my dissappointment still no flight, but it sounds like the motor is weak almost as if when the blades get to +/- 10 pitch it just does not have the power or headspeed to take off. I adjusted the throw from the servos to the swashplate to make it pull a little earlier, I also lengthened the linkages from the seesaw to the blade grips to give them a little more aggressive angle earlier in the rpm range. Well the heli will take off now but at a much slower head speed and is very very unstable in the air almost to the point where i can not fly it. Another thing is when i get it up and switch to idle up mode I do not get any RPM change positve or negative. Is it possible that my motor is dying????? I had an idea that it might be the batteries but i dont want to replace the wrong thing if i do not have to any help would be great if anyone has and info that might be of some use thanks everyone

I'd run a simple test:
Remove the main blades, install a fresh battery pack, turn on TX, arm AXE CP. Advance the throttle about 1/2 way, motor should have a consistant tone/hum, flip IDLE-UP switch, you should hear RPM increase, you should also see it in the head. If RPM increases/deceases with the IDLE-UP switch, then the motor is operating correctly.

How many hours are on this motor? Have you modified the Heat-Sink that covers cooling holes on the motor yet? You could have TOASTED BRUSHES! Under a NO-LOAD condition, does the motor get HOT, after only a few minutes of running?
You didn't say in your post if your using the stock NiMH battery, are you? You could have a bad cell, fully charge the battery & check the voltage with a voltmeter, you should have at least 10.8 vdc.
