Default DX6i helimax axe

I just bought the dx6i can anyone tell me if this will work with helimax
I got it for my stryker. And if so will it work better than stock radio
I have had the helimax for about a year never could fly very well.
I see there are gyro settings that seem to be a problem for me.
Thanks Mark

The DX6 will work with any heli, but not the 3in1, the RX won't communicate with the 3in1. You will have to go to separates, main motor ESC, tail motor ESC & HH gyro.
What gyro settings seem to be a problem, the RATE gyro on the 3in1, or a separate HH gyro?

I've been using a DX6i with a AR6100 receiver in my AXE CP with the stock 3 in 1 for months without any problems.

It's nice not having the random glitches that I had with the stock receiver.

I used the DX7/AR6100/DS285 combo along with the "stock" 3 in 1 for about 6 mos. with no problems either.

Ditto on the no more "glitches" issues. Totaly gone now for me too.

I am flying the stock RX and a Futaba 6EXH but most RX connections are the same.

Ch 1 = Right rear cyclic servo
Ch 2 = Front Cyclic servo
Ch 3 = Throttle "e-board"
Ch 4 = Gyro "single wire from E-board"
Ch 5 = N/C
Ch 6 = Left rear Cyclic servo

Hope this helps
