What guys?

The CP v3 blades have a thicker root than the earlier models so CP & CP-l compatible (aftermarket or 3rd party) blades will not work without spacers or similar.

Do you know of anybody using larger than stock main blades on their AXE CP?

Thanks,

The stock blades are 235mm long, I've used Venom's Night Ranger 3D night-blades (245mm) with good performance as well. Anything longer than 245mm may cause serious issues with the tail rotor (main blade/tail blade interference), unless you extend the tail.

I bought my flat bottom trainer blades from these guys. I didn't find any problem with their service/shipping/whatnot.

And if you are in cali you get your stuff pretty fast because they ship priority mail.

I have also dinged my blades quite a bit, and through many crashes have only bent a feathering shaft.

So all in all if you are looking at a beginer blade they are a good value.

Actually, the stock blades are 10 inches and are listed as 254mm. The Carbon blades are listed as 9.9 inches on Towerhobbies and are shown as 252 mm. I've got plenty of room between the main and the v3 size tail blade, so you could go with bigger blades just becareful of overheating the motor. An inch longer or shorter will have little change to the flight characteristics. The question is where to find blades of this size?

I'd have to recommend ebay on this one or Towerhobbies. I have a blade CPv3 and those are the places I get my blades, also check out xheli.com if you want high quality blades like carbon fiber... J
