Tail fin question
After my metal protrusion on the tail fin getting bent some many times, it finally broke off - what is it for (besides getting caught in everything it can get caught in!)? My tail rotor has probably 3/8 to 1/2" clearance with it off!
I am using a Blade CP tail rotor, but I thought they were the same diameter. |
RE: Tail fin question
It's main purpose is to keep the rear rotor from hitting anything, like when you land or take off by keeping the tail up.

RE: Tail fin question
Yeah, but pressing down on the tail, when the fin hits (minus the metal hook), I have ample clearance!

RE: Tail fin question
It only has to keep the rotor slightly off the ground, about 1/4" longer that the blade is enough.
