I was hoping someone could give me a hand here.
I am programming the end points on my servos. 5625. I was wondering what you would consider the maximum effective travel for a servo?
Using the programmer I can program these things to go 90 degrees in each direction. Maybe even more but on an aileron I surely wouldnt want that much throw. I would like to set them up for as much throw possible so I can achieve Mechanical Advantage by moving the clevis up on the control horn.

I think someone mentioned that 140 degrees was about where I want to be. What's your thought?

I posted this thread in the radio forum also.

There is no set magic number; it depends on the application and personal preference. I personally leave the default end points and have a longer arm to get 3D travel for my planes. What is your application?

Mike.

I am setting up a H9 1/3 sukhoi. I have programmed the end points to 70 degrees in each direction which seems to be working out well.

That should be fine. I would also suggest 1.25" arms. Another good source of info is our team Pilot Joe Hunts webpage. www down on the deck.com (no spaces) For whatever reason RCU blocks this url from linking.

Mike.
