Optic 6 Throttle Setup
Hi,
When I was using my Flash V throttle setup was easy:
Zero the trim
Set the carb to just closed
Set the idle with the trim - generally about 75 on the screen
It's not that easy on the Optic 6.
There are only 50 units of trim - not enough throw.
What is the proper/recommended way to set up the throttle linkage?
Thanks,
KW_Counter

on page 11 of the tutorial found under:

NB: Make sure that when setting up the Throttle Cut function that the servo is not stalled by forcing it beyond the limits of the throttle body on the engine or the pushrod ends. All movement by the servo should be easily accomplished without stalling the servo which may require experiementing a little with the holes on servo arm or throttle arm.

RE: Optic 6 Throttle Setup
Alan,
Your response was not helpful at all.
The manual was not helpful either.
I am looking for a response similar to the example I used
when describing how I set the throttle on the Flash V.
Thanks for trying,

RE: Optic 6 Throttle Setup
Here is the method I am now using.
Set the trim to 25, the middle of the range.
Set the throttle mechanically so you have full range.
Start the engine.
Adjust your idle using the Sub Trim.
Now your idle trim can be used to fine tune the idle.
Make sure the engine kill button still works.
Good Luck,
