Aurora 9 switch
Hello Gentlemen .... and the occasional ladies.
Is it possible to replace the switch (SW F) by my self and where do I get a replacement?
I'm quite surprised it doesn't work anymore as it is rarely used....
Do You have any experience with faulty switched on the A9?
I have always loved this radio

Suggest you spray out the inside of your radio with a good electrical cleaner, make sure you obtain a cleaner that will not harm plastic, got mine from O'Rilleys Auto Parts. Bet you have a little "crud" that has settled on the internals,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,if that fails return the Rx to Hitec.

We have replacement switches available, but only through us. You can try to clean out the switch but they are sealed inside where the contacts are made and it may prove to do nothing for you.

Thanks a lot for Your replies guys,
I'm not a great believer in contact cleaning spray...my experience tells me it's a short term solution....
Is it a special switch used?
I really want to attempt to replace it my self as I'm Denmark and I bought the radio in the UK, so it's not so easy to send it back and forth.
So the time spend on shipping and repairs etc will keep me from flying in minimum 3-4 weeks I recon.
Have a great week-end.

Do you have other available switches? Might be a short term fix and as winter progresses sent the unit in for repair? When something in a Transmitter fails to work properly I view it as VERY SERIOUS, buts thats
just from some lessons I have learned!

The transmitters are designed to work with a specific switch, using an aftermarket switch may not yield appropriate results and will void your warranty. You will want to contact the Hitec distributor nearest you. Looks like that might be Multiplex.
