Hi all,
please could someone tell me if there're someone at Niefern that read messages sent to [email protected] ?
I've a Profi 4000 and I'd like to upgrade the firmware, I sent them some mail but no reply at all... am I wrong with that address ?
Many thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards
Angelo

Angelo,
Of course it's possible that Multiplex might be slow in responding to emails, but before you assume that, you might want to check and see if your ISP is filtering out responses from other countries as spam. That could be happening at your ISP level, or it could also be happening in your network (if you're running on one).
It could also be happening on your local computer depending on what mail reader you're using. Maybe there's some kind of automatically installed filter or maybe even one that you configured at some earlier time and then forgot about.
Just thinkin'.

Highflight,
thanks for your reply!
I use the mail server we have in our office and I'm the administrator, I can assure you there're no problems about filtering and so on even because every day I check for filtered e-mails and no Multiplex reply at all!
Really this is the first time I write to Multiplex service people without reply, very strange indeed!!!

Angelo,
You obviously know what's going on with your (own) mail server, but you might still check with your ISP because some of them will filter certain "types" of email and you might not even know about it.
I also wonder if maybe the ISP that MPX is using (or their mail server) could be filtering out YOUR messages for some reason. You might try sending them a note from your home if you use a different ISP there than you do for your company.
Just for grins, I happen to have a question for Multiplex that I've been meaning to ask anyway so I think I'll send them a note and see if they get back to ME with a reply.

Angelo,
They just did.
I sent a note to them on the 22nd and a reply was waiting for me when I checked my email this morning (the 26th).
Considering that there was a weekend in between those two dates, that means that I got a response on the second work day after I sent my note. That's pretty reasonable, so since you still can't get an answer from them, you really have to think that there's some email spam blocking going on that may not be obvious.
By the way, I sent my note to their "info@" address.

... hard to believe that two different domains are blocked by email spam or so on, even I can't explain why you've got a reply and still nothing for me... I'll try with a third domain, I've no choices right now!
Thanks again for your help.
