me club wants me to do get a bandwith test on my radio before i can fly there.

what exactly is this ?

Bandwidth is a broad term in this case. I guess the club would like you to verify your equipment is operating on the prescribed frequency. At the least a handheld scanner might do the job, other than that a radio service facility will have to perform the test.
