Eclipse 7, Futaba buddy box, and 2 aileron channels
I started training at a club field the other night and we tried to connect my
Eclipse 7 to the one of club's Futaba trainer boxes. It worked OK (I had
the Hitec cord), except for the fact that the Futaba receivers couldn't handle
two ailerons on seperate channels. (I'm not sure which Futaba TX it was,
but it appeared to be a lower end model, set with dip switches).
A couple of the trainers thought I needed to change my plane's setup to use
a Y-connector on the ailerons, but another trainer thought it might be
possible to keep the two channel setup and still use the Futaba as a slave
buddy box.
It's would be easy the change to a Y-connector, but I'd still like to know:
is it possible to use seperate aileron channels with a master Eclipse 7 and
a slave Futaba TX?
(Perhaps the answer might clear up my fuzzy understanding of how the trainer setup works)
