Default Hitec Focus 4 fm (for Dummies)

First of all Great Product and service, I have all ways had Great performance and troublefree service from Hitec. You may remember I asked about a hitec micro 555 on channel 12, will it work with My Focus 4 on channel 44 with just a crystal change? Your reply was it should as long as its not negative shift: OK you lost me there, I am getting into the hobby again after 6-7 years and now I see we are using dual servos on cotrol surfaces and ARF's are as popular as park flyers and electrics. So can you put it in simple terms, What is negative shift and does the focus 4 I bought in 95 have anything to do with negative shift? Thanks Dan Z. ( wornboots )
