I FINALLY isolated a radio problem. Turns out when my hitec electron receiver gets warm, i.e. a hot day, the radio acts erratically with all the surfaces going wild. I can reproduce the problem at home by gently warming the receiver with a hairdryer, not hot but warm. The servos go crazy when I apply full down elevator until it cools then all is well. Even if the elevator servo is not plugged into the receiver. Tried different servos, switch, battery, one servo at a time etc etc., it's definately the receiver causing the problem but only when warm.
The really weird thing is I have TWO electrons that seem to do this one more than the other. I only ran into the problem when summer came and it got into the 90's. Both receivers are over a year old.
Have you ever heard of anything like this??? Now I'm leary of using an electron [

I had one other end user complain of a similar situation. When I tested the unit, using heat, the Electron did cause jittering in the servos. The temp though, exceeded the max recommendation of 60 Celsius before jittering occured. If you would like me to examine the receivers to see if it is something else, please send them in to service. All I can really suggest is to keep the plane out of the sun when not in use.

I ordered a supreme 8ch receiver since have never had a problem with one.
Does 60 celsius apply to all of your receivers or just the electron? I am wondering if the new 8 channel will do the same thing because this particular plane is getting hot or this problem only applies to the electron? This is the first time I have ever run into something like this.
