I have had an Eclipse 7 PCM Tx on order from my LHS in Australia since the end of March. Apparently they are not available until at least mid May or later. Is this because of the rumour that there are "technical problems" with this Tx or am I being led up the garden path by my LHS. Just to clarify one point - the rumour has not eminated from the LHS?
Can you shed any light on this for me please?

I do not know why they are not available in Australia; they are avaialbe in the US.
I have no idea about this rumor... The radio has been out for many years so why would there suddenly be "technical problems?"
Mike.

Thanks for that Mike.
I suspect that the LHS in Australia is messing me around - When I first ordered the unit they supplied me with a non PCM one but charged PCM pricing (about $100 difference) - this was discovered when I returned for a vacation a few weeks ago and opened the box. - Who knows what goes on in the minds of some of the operators of these businesses sometimes - especially as the shop in question specialises in electronics and electronic repairs as their core business.
I ordered this unit it because a number of the people at our home field in Aus have been using them with no issues for some time and would have been quite surprised if there was any issues with them by now..
I shall wait and see if and when I get one I guess, unfortunately the shop in question already has my money.
