hs 85 MG stripped "plastic"
hey mike, glad i found this site.. yesterday i had a great day flying my bluto in the high wind advisory.. we had 55 mph winds at our rad secret spot...
anyway i ended up stripping a hs 85 MG. when i pulled it out and took it apart i found that the gear that stipped was the only plastic gear in there... what up with that? why did they put 1 plastic gear with all those metal gears? and whats the best way to get a kit for that servo? i seem to be having a hard time finding the kit at my local hobby stores. knowbody has em.... thanks in advance ej

Got wind?
Must have at least one plastic gear in a metal gear servo to avoid RF feedback from the gears to the pot that would cause glitching.
Check it out, everybody's metal gear product is this way.
The part number is 56388. You may want to try a full service Hitec mail order company like Hobby Horse at 1-800-604-6229.
