Default Eclipse with Sperctra - Battey Life

Hi Mike!

I'm still teetering on the fence when it comes to buying a radio, and I've pretty much decided that the flexibility of an Eclipse with the Spectra module outweighs any real value of a couple "frilly" features of other brands that I probably won't ever use, but I have three last questions before I get one ordered....

Is the TX battery life shortened when using the spectra module relative to a regular singe channel radio?

Is the "Landing" confuguration mixable to the throttle?

Have you shipped any of the new, updated radios to your Canadian distributor yet?

Thanks for your time!

Yes the stock batt pack in the spectra will last a short time the simple solution is get a hold of Dave Thacker at www.radicalrc.com and order a 1650 nimh batt pack for your radio . FLy about 3 times longer than stock setup works great on all the radios i own. Price is very reasonable also i believe 27 bucks with connector and 2 dollar shipping

No As far as I can tell using four Prism 7's and one Eclipse 7 with three Spectra modules and two fixed frequency modules there is absolutely no differance in battery duration with regard to module type.

I guess it's maybe, because I think there might be some difference in the draw down. I only own two Prisms so John may be absolutely right. "Think" is the operative. If tx time is shortened somewhat, there is always the field quick charger to fix you up or even an extra standard battery pack.

Hi Dennis!

Do you have Spectras in your radios??

I noticed today that the club site is not on ********.NET any more. If you have the site on your PC I can make a folder on my business site to dump it in...

David:

I have one Spectra and two regular modules to use in the Prisms. I will check the club site out. Thanks

Yes, the Spectra module does draw about 30% more current than the standard.
