HS 5945 - 5 cells??
Hi Mike,
I´m pretty sure you can help my with my problem.
I just bought 8 HS 5945. I want to use them on my Aeroworks extra 300l.
2 on each elevator and aileron.
I want to use them on a DPSI (Dual Power Switch Interface .. you will find an English data sheet on www.flugschau.de klick on shop -> rc-zubehör-> DPSI2001 -> datasheet as pdf )
Each elevator (2 Servos) on one channel.
I know that i have to make sure that the servos are not working against each other when hooked up to one surface.
My Problem is the Voltage.
I was told that the digital Servos don´t work with a 5 cell Pack without a regulator for long. The specifications for the servo give a Voltage range from 4.8V to 6V.
A fresh loaded 5 cell pack has 7 Volts.
I already contacted the distributor for Hitec servos here in germany but didn´t get a clear answer.
Can i use these servos on a 5 cell pack without a regulator without the risk of burning it up?
Are these Servos made for 5 cells?

That information is incorrect. The Hitec servos will work fine on 5 cells unregulated. In fact, I discourage the use of any regulators as some are known to restrict the amperage causing problems for the digitals.
