HFS 04MI compatability
I have been using the HFS 04MI rx with an older JR (FM) set. I am now using it with my JR X378. Is this rx compatable with my x378. I have not experienced any problems but it has been suggested that it is not safe to do so. My son in law has been using the same rx with his Futaba Skysport 6 and FF8 and has had no problems.
I also have 4 Hitec feather rx's for use with my school club but the 1 rx I have tried is having problems with both futaba and JR tx's.
If its a shift problem can either of these types of rx be switched?

Thanks Mike.
I am using the 35 mhz aircraft band in the uk. I obtained a deal on 2 Futaba Skysport 6 TX's to use initially with FMS at school.
I also negotiated a deal for 4 Hitec Feather Rx's. I have only tested 1 Rx and it causes 1 of the servos ( jamara 9g's ) to move to the end of its travel on channel 1. Wondered if it was a shift prob.
My Hitec mini rx has been working fine for over a year with my JR Tx but I read a post recently suggesting it is not compatable.
Danny Snyder suggested in reply to me that UK spec rx's ay be on the correct shiftfor use with JR/ Futaba.
Thanks for your help.

No Mike.
The supplier assured me that Futaba xtals would be fine in these feather rx's. That is the next thing I shall try as I'm aware that different manufacturers use differing series capacitance.
It's a problem when using different manufacturers and one gets reassurance from retailers that there will be no problems.
Thanks again.

I realise that now Mike. Xtal changing is an accepted legal practice in the UK and generally we have few problems. But often suppliers will supply alternative makes of xtal.
My problem with the servo movement appears to be related to the servos (Jamara 9gm). I have tried a second servo with my Hitec mini rx and the result is the same. Sometimes the servo only moves in 1 direction but sometimes works in both directions.
Will try the feather receivers with my hitec servos to eliminate them as the source of the problem.
thanks for your help.
