Default WAY to hot, I think?

I think im running a little hot.. I dont have a way to test the temp, but a spit test says it HOT... if I use a little bit it will sizzle instantly... If I use a bit about 2 bb's in size it will cook to the heat sink, but not sizzle off. If I am running to hot what should I do to cool this puppy off?

Richen your fuel and consider a fuel with more oil.

When you shut the motor down, and listen closely to the head, do you hear the fuel sizzling in the head? You would be able to hear it if it was happening. that's a good way to tell if your too hot to.

Do you do a lot of long fast straight runs? You really shouldn't run the truck for long straights. That will heat the engine too much to.

You should really get a temp guage so you can know for sure,I never had much luck with the water trick and I bet spit is even worse.

if there isnt a trail of blue smoke then it is set to lean so richen your mixture until there is a trail of blue smoke. that is the way i know when it is set to rich or to lean by checking the trail of blue smoke (until i get a temp guage)
