Default Clutch bell gear question

The clutch bell gear needs to be fairly loose and spin easily doesn't it? That is with the motor in hand, not installed on the truck. I had some problems with fitting the HPI gear onto my Force motor and I think I have it right now. Let me know what yall think... TIA

You need to have it shimmed correctly so that the screw is tight but the CB has very little lateral movement (0.5mm max). The CB needs to spin freely, yes.
