Sirio .27. To seal or not to seal?

All you .27 sirio guys... Did you actually seal this engine with silicone? I paid to much for this engine to be messing with it like that, but if it is necessary, I will do it. I would appreciate any feedback.

You should seal any engine you get before running. Even as I type I am sealing up my siro. So, your answer is yes
I learned 12 years ago to do it and it has become a pratice since then

the fuel fitting on the main needle;
around the base of the carburetor;
the engine backplate.
use the copper sealent at your local autoparts store
Use only enough to get the job done. When My engines are sealed up, by looking at it you can't even tell I used the stuff.
