slipping one way bearings
I've got a pull start and the one way bearing tends to slip quite a bit, I've found more so when the engine has been run a bit for the day. I've taken it out a few times and sprayed with with degreaser. It seems like the fixes the problem but then it comes back after a bit of running.
I have very very rich needle settings, 4.5 to 5 turns out on the HSN. What I'm trying to figure out is, is my one way cracked and just needs to be replaced, or is oil leaking into it from the engine while running. I've got a new one way which I can install, but I don't want to put it in just to foul it up in a tank.

RE: slipping one way bearings
Hpi did have a problem with some of the one way bearings cracking. if you call them most of the time they will send you a new one free. I would put in the new one way.
