hpi 25 engine temp!!!!!
I have a 25 engine from a savage 25 in a T-maxx conversion.I know its a sin but i figured it would help.Any how i was running it the other day with the body off & i read on my mip temp gauge 453 degrees!!! The engine was running fine otherwise no excessive smoking from the motor ,right amount of smoke from exhaust.Could this motor run at this temp without shutting down or smoking a glow plug??? The motor still spins fine has excellent compression & just seems like it was run a bit warm nothing else..Thanks for the help..

I would suspect the temp gauge. If the motor was running fine there is no way the gauge could be accurate. The fuel would boil before it got close to the cylinder at that temp.

While you're ordering a temp gauge, see if you can find a Savage roller to put under the 25. That would be the ultimate T Maxx upgrade! lol

T maxx was just sitting around collecting dust after i bought my savage so just decided to try & make something better out of nothing good...only parts traxxas on it are the diffs, suspension arms& body mounts. The trans is traxxas but i think i just blew it up today heheheh.nowhere near as durable as my savage..
