Default Wasp 28 or Picco 26 on Savage

Hi everyone. I just bought a Savage 25 RTR and ran about 6 tanks after break in and I am already thinking on changing some things on it, although I think it's a great RTR truck so far.
I am thinking on buying a Wasp 28 or a Picco 26. Is it posible to use a Roto Start on these engines? And what kind of upgrades are necessary for proper run with this type of engine?
I read some posts and and an article at Savage Central, but what upgrades are really necessary?

Thanks you all!

yes upgades are needed. like if you get a picco werks 26, you have to buy another engine mount. the 26 wont fit in the old one. as far as a 26 or 28, well that depends on what type or maker of the 28 or 26 as to the power or rpm output. I have a werks picco 26 and i run a 15 tooth bell with a 52 tooth spur gear, and my truck is fairly heavy do to its all alluminum. and it pulls the front weels of the ground. hope that helps.

i think the rotostart fits the picco but i know it fits the wasp.

the picco .26's wont last much longer because the picco .27 is supposed to replace it. maybe look to invest in the picco .27 it has 3.1 hp. the wasp only 2.85 hp. i think both are great engines and they are both backed by company warrenties.
