Just recieved my Savage25, need assistance please.
I just got my Savage 25 in the mail today.
I got all fo tha batteries all set and ready to go. And everything else.
Now, came to the part for starting the savage.
I read through several of the manuals that came with it.
And it told you how to prime and start the engine with a pull starter.
But the Savage25 is a RTR Start.
In the other manual it showed some diagrams of steps but no wording.
So what I did was turned off the reciever and took the RTR Start thing and turned it to prime the engine since the fuel tank has no primer.
I don't see any fuel going through the lines. But, I did as the directrions said, I think.
So I turned the reciever back on and tried to start it. However, I forgot to charge the Glow Plug Ignitor, so it is charge as we speak.
I just want to about the primeing and stuff and if what I said above is correct?
I don't want to ruin this $400 beast.

To prime it, plug the exhaust stinger with one finger while using the rotorstart at the same time, you will see the fuel going to the carb. Once it hits the carb give it one more spin of the roto start and that should be it.

you can also try forcing fuel in it by blowing air with your mouth from fuel line that goes to the pipe

that's just a bad idea.
However if you find that it's flooding (you can tell by the roto-start having difficulties turning) back off the glow plug enough to releae the pressure on the cylinder, with it still slightly opened apply the glow starter, then fire it up.
It will run rough, then screw the glow plug back in while it's running, at this point the motor idle will smooth out.
Follow the rest of the break in procedure and have fun.

Dude, Learn to read.
That post was back in December when I first got my savage and couldn't get it to started.
Look at the post date on my first post.
