RE: burnout
You want to have some real fun. Put a Savage on 2 wheels and keep her there. And I don't mean a wheelie. Me and my friends have competitions to see who can keep them up the longest.[&:]

Turn it hard and slam the gas. It'll start going up on 2 wheels. Now keep it there. The tires on the side that's in the air will flaten out and act like a gyro.

I lost font wheel drive on my savage and was soo pissed that I drove it up on my porch. I did the biggest burnout against a pole and it left black marks on the concrete!

RE: burnout
How do you like the Sirio .27? And more importantly was it worth the money? I don't mind spending the money, but I'm hearing that the Orion .28 ,That's like $160, is almost the same.[:-]

O I think you need to take a gander at my video of what you can do with rubber tires and a wet driveway.

I havent tried my Savage yet... but I am pretty sure it would be easy to do.

RE: burnout
ed, I just did a tune up on a friend's t-max and he had the orion .28. He claimed he had only three or four tanks through it and I was thinking of buying it. It was a torque-y motor. Sure looked the part especially on the max. Everything is a little smaller than the savage and then you have this giant motor bolted on. It lifted the wheels up pretty good. I got my sirio on ebay last year for $300 and I took a real chance but it paid off. It was in fact new in the box so I saved $100 on it. I love it. It's a little finicky to tune but once you get it, it holds the tune. I was constantly wrenching on my s25 to keep it tuned. Plus with the adjustable sliding clutch, the motor is all teeth.

[quote it's what ush old shkoolers call the "Joey Chitwood". And if you remember him, you're probably older than I am. quote]
When I was a kid growing up in the hills of central pennsylvania we use to
go to the Huntingdon Co. fair to see the Joey Chitwood thrill show.
They stayed at the motel near where I lived. we would go to
the motel during the day to check out all the Joey Chitwood
Chevrolets. It truely was a thrill show. Does anyone remember
the chair of death. Also Joey Chitwood Sr. and Joey Chitwood Jr.
tough the stunt drivers in that crap town of Hollywood how to
drive a car on to wheels for the movies. also Joey Chitwood Jr.
did hold the record for driving a car the longest distance on two
wheels. I know this is off topic but the Chitwood thrill show
was in its day one of the greatest. I guess those days are
long gone . [&o]

RE: burnout
On burnouts, the onroad cars can do it better because of similar size engines with much less tire contact patch (Less wide) and lighter wheeles & tires to spin...not to mention a much smaller diameter tire. Both of my trucks hook up and wheelie instead of doing burn outs.
If you really want to do some burnouts with your truck, drop some diesel fuel on black top! Your truck will drive (and burnout) just like its on ice!
See how long you can do doughnuts in a fast spin (Hint- work the throttle heavy and light quickly) like you have seen the monster trucks do (Gold digger - especially). Try doing this on ice or on the synthetic ice (Diesel fuel on blacktop) it is a blast!
