RE: savage steering servo
Hitec 645MG is a good servo with 133oz. around $40 I just switched mine out for a Hitec 5645 digital. 168oz for $53. both ratings are for 6V. I got the digital servo to turn my big IMEX 40 tires, but the 645 was fine for the standard wheels.

RE: savage steering servo
the jr z650m is good too.it boast 140 oz. of torque from 6v...im having problems with mine though...thats most likely becuase i havnt figured out how to use my xs3 all the way yet.anyways.
and hitec supposedly has a new digital out that has 250 oz. of torque...not sure if this is true or not i sale it in my rc driver mag.it said it was 1/8th too.

I think anything over 150 oz of torque is overkill for the stock or similar sized tires on the savage. Also don't forget that the more powerfull the servo, the more power it draws from the battery pack so you'll definatly want to get a hump pack with at least 1200 mAh.

RE: savage steering servo
that batt looks too big, i would think it wouldent fit. and that servo is nice, but yeah anythin over 150 oz in is overkill. just get [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJRB1&P=]this[/link] batt pack and the 645mg is great but i dont know about the z650m. and if you get a digital, know that they drain ur batt really fast.
