Default clutch pad

after replacing the clutch pad on the bbig gear the egine would still revv. my spring is fully compressed and i cant get it stretched back out could that be a problem?

It may make your slipper pad slip if you run it loose. They are not very springy to begin with. Tighten it all the way and back off 1/8 turn. If it slips excessively, it will get hot and could melt the gear. If you back off 1/8 turn from all the way tight and get lots of slippage, replace the spring! I am sure that they are not too expensive at your LHS.
