Engine break-in - out of the truck & on a stand?

Engine break-in - out of the truck & on a stand?
Has anyone done the break-in of their engine with it removed and mounted to a stand?

and it got me thinking. It would be much easier for a controlled/monitored break-in with something like this (I realize that the 180 degree header for the Savage would not work with this one...nor would I pay $120+ for an engine stand) as compared to in the truck. These are set up to accept a small blade to add some wind resistance and you could vary the pitch to affect the temp of the engine. I read in another ad that doing it this way increases HP and adds up to 30% greater longetivity. Is that possible?

I think for that price I will keep doing it the old fashion way. I think it is just some one trying to make money. I could be wrong but I this it is bull!

well i had two os 15 one was broke in, in a stand and the other was broke in by me on the truck and power was about the same but the only difference i noticed was it ran smother and was easier to tune but other than that it aint worth it
