Default stripped my RR harden'd steel spur gear and clutchbell

was bashing last weekend and went up a spine in between 2 1/4 pipes at a skate park...somehow the motor mounts shifted and it ended up stripping my Robinson Racing hardend steel spur gear and clutch bell..anyone else ever have this happen?..im kinda upset because i thought my truck was fine once i adjusted the motor to make them mesh right...so i went out and bought new RPM wheel and Proline tires because i thought i had nothing else to buy..now the LHS is closed and im stuck with a non working savage with $100 worth of new wheels and tires when i could have bought a new set of gears instead

No.
you must have had some loose screws after you set your mesh. or you crashed and bumped your engine. either way sounds like a real bummer.

just inspected it closer...took the motor out.. found out that i ripped the mount on the side of the block off which is why it wont mesh..so right now the motor is held on with the mount closest to the fuel tank..the other mount is ripped off the block and bolted to the heatsink motor mount..i landed on the rollbar/head...

good news is...looks like once i get a diffrent engine(picco .27)ill be able to re-use my rr gears..because they will probally mesh once the engine sits in the right spot

how are you going to mesh stripped gears?

they arent stripped as bad as i thought..turns out the motor mounts were broken off the block causing the back of the motor to be lifted up and the gears would not mesh..i thought they were stripped but once i pulled everything apart i noticed that they didnt strip..they just barely mshed to the point of flattening out the teeth on the spur gear and clutchbell...wont be getting a new motor for 2-3 weeks[&o]
