Hey guys I just bought the Mugen aluminum 3shoe clutch shoes for my Savage and I also got the 1mm springs with the shoes, now my question is what flywheel should I run with those clutch shoes??? my stock flywheel is getting kind of worn out so I am looking for a good, but not a very expensive replacement for it.

Please Help ASAP

The stock flywheel is fine (and dirt cheap on EBay). I don't run "bling" flywheels anymore as they get beat up from shoe and spring R&R's. You will however need the Mugen clutch nut, so the springs line up properly. The groove on the stock Savage clutch nut is too low, and doesn't line up properly with Mugen shoes.

Hi, yes that's good advice about the Mugen clutch nut the part number = C0704

I also run the Ofna vented CB just for good measure, as for the flywheel, the stock one is fine

would this flywheel work with the Mugen clutch shoes and springs that I bought??

Please LMK ASAP and also are you guys saying that I will not be able to use the stock clutch nut at all with the mugen clutch set up??

Yes, that flywheel will be ok with the Mugen clutch, btw you can use a stock clutch nut with the Mugen shoes, but using the Mugen clutch nut, will allow the springs to seat better

Fxrs I just type ASAP because yes In most cases I need an ASAP responce since I live 40 minutes away from a hobby shop and so I go there about once a week since it's pretty far, and most of my questions pop up before I go to the hobby shop so I am trying to make sure that I get a responce from smart people before I go out and buy something.

Ok well anyway I got this flywheel, I am wondering will it work with the Mugen clutch?? this flywheel is 3 pin.

Never ran a light flywheel in my Savage but I sure did not like them in my stadium trucks.

Ive been using the stock nut with the Mugen shoes for the past few gallons and its working great, you just have to shim the nut out to line the spring seat. its simple, get the ofna shim kit, its less than 5 bucks and comes with all sorts of shims and extra dodads.
