RE: best roll cage??
the rc solutions looks really good, but whats wrong with it is, i dont know if u have looked to thei site, there is a guy standing on it....u can do that because standin on it isnt the same thing as crashing the savage with 35-40 miles, and the vantage is CF which will break...

RE: best roll cage??
The Absolute best/strongest cage is Caseys tube half back cage.(Twisted Toys)
If your not going to buy a plastic cage when anything else will break/bend from crashes.
Vantage cage is crap....sorry to say but carbon fiber is brittle and is the dumbest material to make a cage out of. One whack on that cage and you now have a funny looking pile of carbon fiber.
Hard boyz cage......this is a cheaper crappier version of the R/c Ravens cage. Strange thing it this cage bends easier then the Ravens but cost more in price
New era cage.....another crap knock off of the Ravens Cage
R/c Ravens Cage.....well if your not going to change the chassis for the TT cage then this is your next best bet besides making your own Plastic cage. R/c ravens cage is great for $20(ebay). Just like anyother metal cage it will bend under harsh landings. I personally own 2 of these cages. Also the brackets they come with arent the greatist. But they were designed that way. They are ment to be the weak link so they bend insted of the cage. I fabbed up my own Adjustable brackets out of steel. I can now raise my cage 1/4 inch so it protects the engine head. Through mutiple 15ft+ high bad landings i found its only 2 weak spots. If she lands on her but from 15ft the tailgate bends in a little. Also where the front of the cage meets the Cab section. For some reason Ravens had a brain fart and didnt put a support there. One little inch support on each side and that part would never bend. This is a great cage for what you spend.
RC Solutions Cage.....Strongest of all metal cages when taking a direct upside down crash. But one real hard whack to the back section on its side and it bends. Not worth its over sized price tag for a cage that will still bend in my book.
So its either TT cage and chassis(only needs to be extending .5in)
Or the R/c Ravens Cage.

RE: best roll cage??
RCRAVEN off ebay is what I been using.
It has survived the 30-40 footers onto the lid..backside ,and endos.
it has bent a little bit,but it bends back, and when it breaks it warrantied for life from broken welds.
25.00 off ebay..between the cage the handle ,and the body posts I have yet to even scratch my head.
Even after wheelies on pavement at 20 mph and 30 foot roof slides.
I seldom run with a body, the cage is that good.

RE: best roll cage??
Does anyone know if the HB cage for the Truckzilla fits the Savage X? Is it any good? It is overpriced in my mind at £130 ($260). It says 2 people can stand on it and it will hold up, but will it fit the savage?

RE: best roll cage??
It is a lot for a roll cage I admit, and if it did fit it would be perfect, as I cant get any of the above mentioned roll cages here in the UK. It seems that the UK doesn't do well on RC Roll cages. We just dont have the range of brands you do, and it costs a load to ship from the US, and if you do that then you can foget about that lifetime warranty it comes with cos of shipping.

This is the cage i want, only problem is that you have to build it yourself. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4718440/tm.htm

RE: best roll cage??
Just so you know, guys, some dude (or dudes) standing on top of a truck doesn't show anything as far as durability. it just shows it can take a constant 200-400 lb load, not the shock of landing on your lid from 30 feet in the air. I know most people know this, but this is for those who don't
BTW-Integra's cage is sweet. If I were to buy a cage, it'd be his
