SH .28 and a 3 Speed
Help needed with setup...
I need someone who can give me a close educated guess as to where I should set my 1st to 2nd shift point.
I have an SH .28, 18/49 gearing, with HPI Dirtbonz, and 3spd tranny.
I have no clue where to make the initial setting. I really would appreciate this. Especially if someone who knows his stuff could hit it on the first try. Thanks!
BTW, I found this post on another forum…
“well i did my 1st to 2nd @ 2 1/4 from flush and 3rd gear @ 5 1/2 from flush. the settings they give you is the settings for the k4.6, and my sh 28 motor has more torque so it was shifting too early. and it really depend on you too.â€
Do you see any problems with it? He doesn’t mention his gearing, so I’m not sure if it'll work out with 18/49. Any suggestions? Please... LOL

RE: SH .28 and a 3 Speed
i have the same sorta setup but with a STS motor. Ive been told they are identical. And i was told to run the 3 speed out of the box how it is. i guess this differ's from application to application. but im using stock tires 17t clutch and 47 spur.
