Default servo upgrade help

i have a new 645mg servo how do i connect the stearing arm to the servo, it seems the servo gear is to small for the head part?

doea it make sense

I had the same problem as well.You need to use one of the servo horns that came with the servo.

It's the only i could get it to hook up.The hpi servo are a bit smaller as far as the gears goes so the stock horn will not fit.But you should have a package with a bunch of horns in it so you should have that looks the same as stock but it is for the 645.

I bought a couple of the 645MG servos and there is an arm in the box that matches up pretty close to the original. I did also buy a used on off ebay and they sent it without any of the arms. So I just put it aside and bought a new one.

hitec high torque servos are very good, but have a look at cirrus too, they are cheaper, and look at bluebird, they are designed for cars.

my hpi servos gear is bigger than the hitec 645/625mg gears????

there is no horn that looks like the origanal?

also how do i hook up the trottle also???

Oh sorry your rite,it's been alittle while since i changed mine.But if you bought your servo's new you should have new arms for both that will work for steering and throttle.If not than you will probably need to find the one's you need for your app.

All my Savages have alloy servo horns, i found the stock plastic ones too soft

the stock trottle has that 2 way spring thing to use brake and trottle.

so how do i connect it?
