Default Hey guys, reciever battery question.

Hey guys, I got my savage 3 days ago and as I was putting in the stock alkaline reciever pack I noticed how small the connectors were. I'm planning to upgrade to a rechargable reciever pack and my charger has Tamiya style plugs. Do I have to buy a new charger or are there some plug adaptors that convert the standard Tamiya plugs to the battery pack style ones?
Thanks. Tom

I mount mine with two 14" zip ties one from top to bottom and one from left to right, I also dipped mine in plasti-dip for about 3 coats. I runt that same pack but the 2700, I charge it about once a week. Granted I am not running as much because of the cold weather now. But even running my truck everyday I charge it every 3 days.

Yea you should be able to get an adaptor cause my charger came with one, I got an OFNA 1400mah pack and put a charge receptacle on the side of my reciever box, works like a charm, no more opening the box...well not as much anyway.

I had one of these first http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXE965&P=ML which worked fine but I decided I would put the charge jack and swith in one with this http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXJ778&P=ML this is a lot more work to fit tho.

With both of these mods you will need this (or similar) http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LX0947&P=ML

To mount a battery to your shock tower just use cable ties.

If you can't find one, make one. Buy the proper connectors and solder them together.

Get him to do it. Someone you know has to know how to solder.
